This is my Senior Capstone project, also often referred to as our thesis films. This was a project in which I held two roles, Colorist, and Gaffer. The project lasted 3 semesters and acted as an experience of working with intense pre and post production processes. As the Gaffer, I planned and executed lighting setups in various locations alongside the project’s Director and DP. Together we crafted lighting scenarios to shift the mood and vibe of each scene, shaping a beautiful film in the process. As the colorist, I worked to convert the LOG footage into a much more recognizable look, then added a creative flare, adding in colors, shadows, light, and things like contrast and even a film emulation. In the end, I delivered several versions of the film in various colorspaces such as Rec. 2020, Rec. 709, and P3 for our director to use.
